IFAD13 Core Additional Climate Contributions: Enhancing IFAD’s climate work

Addressing climate change is central to the future of agriculture and food systems. Despite playing a critical role in sustainable food production, and being most affected by the impacts of climate change, small-scale farmers receive less than 1 per cent of climate finance.

As a leading investor in small-scale farming, IFAD supports rural people to cope with the effects of a changing climate. To mobilize additional climate finance for small-scale farmers, IFAD launched a call for Core Additional Climate Contributions (ACCs) during IFAD13.
