IFAD remains one of the most important technical and financial partners in the rural sector. Its work has led to the development of strategies and mechanisms to support poor people in rural areas.
IFAD has been working with the Chadian government since 1991 to improve the living conditions of poor people in rural areas.
With a current portfolio of more than US$239 million, IFAD aims to strengthen the resilience of agriculture and food systems, increase the incomes of smallholder producers and create jobs, especially for women and youth.
