This collection of success stories and good practices shows the impact of the Joint Programme on Accelerating Progress towards the Economic Empowerment of Rural Women (JP RWEE) among rural women in the seven participating countries: Ethiopia, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Nepal, Niger and Rwanda.
It demonstrates how an integrated, holistic approach to the economic empowerment of women has the potential to transform not only their lives, but also their families and communities at large, thereby contributing to poverty reduction more broadly and enhancing the reach and sustainability of the outcomes of development strategies.
JP RWEE is a global initiative that aims to secure rural women’s livelihoods and rights in the context of sustainable development.
