The Kuwait–IFAD partnership
The State of Kuwait played a major role in the establishment of IFAD in 1977 and has been a key supporter of IFAD for the past 46 years.
IFAD and Kuwait have been working together to promote food security and healthy nutrition by investing in climate-smart, adaptive and resilient agricultural practices.
Together, IFAD and Kuwait have invested in long-term sustainable and inclusive rural transformation that addresses the drivers and impacts of fragility to prevent more humanitarian disasters and displacement of vulnerable people.
