Partnership Agreement Italy-IFAD: Annual Report 2023
Italy and IFAD have joined efforts to assemble finance for development and address the root causes of migration and poverty, with a special focus on Africa. Under IFAD’s Partnership Agreement with Italy, running from 2019 to 2023, the country provided US$81.7 million in supplementary funds. This is in addition to their generous core contribution.
This Annual Report details the ten ongoing initiatives funded under IFAD’s Partnership Agreement with Italy in 2023. These initiatives received US$14.2 million in funding and focus on three areas:
- Agriculture, food security and nutrition
- Value chain development and access to markets and financial services; and
- Knowledge management and advocacy.
