This diagnostic provides an assessment of Uganda’s remittance market, with special reference to factors related to the COVID-19 pandemic, based on a market-oriented approach.
It provides a supply-side analysis and a review of three key inbound corridors. The diagnostic is a “working document” that will be updated and amended as additional information is collected and assessed.
The findings and recommendations set forth in this diagnostic feed the Roadmap for a prioritized approach to interventions leading to the achievement of PRIME Africa’s objectives. It is envisaged that funding will be made available to the public and private sectors for its implementation.
