Since IFAD’s inception, Saudi Arabia’s financial and strategic support has been critical to combating poverty and strengthening food systems in developing countries. IFAD values its strong partnership with Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries of the Gulf.
The IFAD Liaison Office in the Gulf Region, located in Riyadh, plays a lead role in strengthening IFAD’s partnerships with the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council and their institutions, private companies, foundations and research centres.
