IFAD remains one of the most important technical and financial partners in the rural sector. Its work has led to the development of strategies and mechanisms to support poor people in rural areas.
Spain is a founding member of IFAD and has contributed a total of US$105.76 million to the regular resources of the Fund since it was established in 1977. In addition, Spain has provided a total of US$18 million in supplementary grant funds.
