This stocktaking document reviews IFAD-funded value chain projects in the Near East, North Africa and Europe region. It highlights main issues and challenges, including targeting and lack of capacity.

The study provides various recommendations to improve value chain management, including developing downstream segments, identifying partners, tailoring financial products to the needs of target groups, supporting producer organizations and being flexible to adapt to changing circumstances.
