For Djenalib Ba and Daba Diom, receiving training from IFAD-supported projects in rural areas of Senegal meant being able to feed their families and send their children to school.
They are Persons with a Disability, but these projects included them in program activities and reinforced their confidence in their own abilities.
More than 300 members of disabled persons associations in Senegal have been trained by IFAD and its partners in organic farming, soap making, accounting or mechanics.
