Investing in rural people in the Pacific Islands

IFAD supports Pacific Island countries to develop inclusive, productive, resilient and sustainable food systems that are community-driven. Our initiatives help rural people improve their livelihoods, reduce vulnerability to climate change and natural disasters, reduce dependency on imported and processed foods, improve nutrition, and address gender inequality and discrimination.

For every US$1 invested by IFAD, more than US$2 has been leveraged, making IFAD a strong mobilizer of partnership financing.
