The Switzerland-IFAD partnership

IFAD and Switzerland are both advocating for a peaceful world with zero poverty and hunger. With more than 40 years of partnership, they are committed to working together for a more sustainable, resilient and inclusive future.

Since IFAD was established in 1977, Switzerland has contributed US$315 million to the Fund’s core budget and over the years has served on the Executive Board. 

IFAD is working in close collaboration with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Economic Cooperation and Development Division of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs to achieve the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
