The Gambia country diagnostic has been prepared in accordance with the PRIME Africa goals, to provide more in-depth analysis and additional evidence for the areas of action identified in the country road map. Specifically:

1. Provide a comprehensive response to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
2. Accelerate digitalization.
3. Reduce remittance transfer costs to The Gambia in support of SDG 10.c and the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
4. Enhance financial inclusion through remittance-linked financial services.
5. Reduce the use of informal channels to The Gambia.
