This side event at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), supported by IFAD, FAO and WFP, will bring stakeholders together to
- share examples of how Indigenous Peoples’ agency is supported, and how it contributes to sustainable food systems
- highlight Indigenous Peoples’ game-changing solutions, identified within the UN Food Systems Summit Action Tracks 3 and 4, to boost nature-positive production and equitable livelihoods at scale
- explore how the Summit outcomes can catalyse action on the ground and foster coalition-building to support Indigenous Peoples and their knowledge systems.
Interpretation in English, French and Spanish will be provided.
