Side event for the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit

Gaining access to healthy and affordable food regardless of income is a challenge for the majority of rural people in developing countries. Last year, as many as 811 million people were undernourished – unable to get enough calories. And healthy diets are even more expensive: over four times the cost of a basic, calorie-sufficient one.

This N4G side event brings together perspectives from government representatives, food systems experts and civil society organizations to discuss food systems solutions that can increase food availability and affordability for rural people, identify interlinkages, and connect the dots.

The event will be held in English with interpretation in Spanish, French and Japanese.
