The role of the public sector in the assimilation process of innovative agri-technologies: The Israeli Model

14:00 – 15:00 CEST

Digital technologies are becoming increasingly fundamental in making agricultural and food systems more sustainable and inclusive. However, technology alone is not enough to address current challenges and bring transformational change. Access to technology and, most importantly, its adoption by small-scale farmers is key to advancing and scaling-up ideas and successful solutions.

This webinar introduced the role of the public sector in Israel in creating and enabling environments and platforms for the assimilation of innovative agri-tech in to farming practices. The event featured interventions from Oded Forer, Israel's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel, and Dominik Ziller, Vice-President of IFAD, as well as contributions from other experts from the public and private sector, representing both Israel and IFAD.

This IFAD Innovation Talk was run in partnership with the Israel Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Israel Innovation Authority.
