Webinar – Targeting the poor: Spatial analysis in project design

This webinar will present examples of how spatial analysis was used to target poor and vulnerable communities in the design of IFAD-funded projects in Latin America.

Geographic information system (GIS) technology makes it possible to converge multiple layers of information to analyse levels of poverty, food insecurity and climate risk that are relevant for geographical targeting in project designs.

This webinar will highlight the importance of fieldwork and teamwork to attain good and reliable data. It will also show how data visualizations can support the decision-making of project design teams and stakeholders.
