Supporting Small-scale Traditional Rainfed Producers in Sinnar State
The project will cover 100 villages located in three of the state’s seven localities – Dindir, Abu Hujar, and Dali and Mazmoum.
The project goal is to reduce rural poverty and increase food security and incomes for about 20,000 households, including 19,000 smallholder households.
The project will focus on:
- Technology transfer
- Market access and post-harvest management
- Capacity-building and institutional strengthening
The project is aligned with the strategic development plan of Sinnar State for the period 2007-2011 and with the strategic objectives of the results-based country strategic opportunities programme (COSOP) for The Sudan.
