Strengthening Nutrition in Agri-food Systems in East and Southern Africa through Root and Tuber Crops
The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the nutrition security and incomes of poor farming households in Eswatini, Madagascar, Mozambique, Rwanda and the United Republic of Tanzania, with a focus on young children, women and youth under increasing climate threats.
The project will directly target 115,000 farmers in the five target countries. Its direct target group includes food- and nutrition-insecure rural households in areas identified through IFAD investment projects.
