Madhya Pradesh Medium Irrigation Project

With the objective of promoting successful irrigation agriculture, IFAD investestments supported construction of a number of medium-scale irrigation projects in Madhya Pradesh. The project also provided technological and management-oriented support activities focusing on irrigation as a key to agricultural development.

The aim was to improve the livelihoods and living conditions of small farmers and their families, to reduce poverty among rural poor people.
