Artisanal Fisheries Project

Artisanal Fisheries Project

Like other IFAD-financed fisheries projects in coastal areas throughout the developing world, this initiative sought to help small-scale, artisanal fishers increase both their catch and their household incomes while contributing to conservation of the natural resource base. The project provided support for better equipment, improved processing facilities, technical training and access to markets and credit, among other components.
