Poor Rural Communities Support Services Project
Poor Rural Communities Support Services Project
The goal of this project was to reduce rural poverty by increasing household incomes; expanding the productivity of smallholder farmers who grow rice and non-traditional crops, and raise livestock; and fostering the promotion of rural micro-enterprises. It was designed to provide efficient and sustainable support services to selected rural communities, with a focus on households headed by women. The project's three main components addressed drainage and irrigation, credit and community infrastructure.
