The Office of Evaluation of the World Food Programme (WFP) held its annual Global Evaluation Meeting, as well as a series of additional events during the week of 27 November to 1 December 2017. 

The theme of this year’s Global Meeting is ‘Enhancing the Use of Evaluation’.  The two-day agenda focused on the value and potential use of evaluation evidence to inform decision-making, gathering user feedback on evaluation needs, and strengthening the WFP evaluation community. 

In the session “Communicating Evaluation Insights – Right Information, Right Time, Right Way”, Ms Johanna Pennarz, IOE Lead Evaluation Officer, delivered a presentation on enhancing evaluation use and outreach, and evaluation syntheses and communication at IFAD and shared a series of good practices in communicating evaluation insights, as well as some of the latest tools and technologies for telling stories with data.
