Cartografía participativa y portal inmobiliario innovador en Indonesia

En este webinario se presentará el trabajo de la Jaringan Kerja Pemetaan Partisipatif (JKPP - en inglés: Indonesian Community Mapping Network). Este consorcio, creado en 1996, cuenta con más de 200 miembros, entre los que se encuentran ONG, organizaciones populares, organizaciones campesinas y particulares. Hasta ahora, JKPP y sus miembros han llevado a cabo una cartografía participativa que abarca una superficie total de 17,1 millones de hectáreas en Indonesia.

A lot of the mapped areas are presented on Tanahkita.id. The online land portal brings together various GIS data sets including 3,405 community-managed areas and 481 disputed areas. The network uses the portal to advocate for the recognition of indigenous and local communities' land. The platform also monitors the progress of the government’s “Social Forestry, Customary Forest, and Land Reform Object'' programme that aims to expand areas under the management of communities and/or indigenous peoples.
