Hansdeep Khaira is an evaluation officer in the Independent Office of Evaluation (IOE). Since joining IOE in 2016, he has led impact evaluations in Georgia and Kenya and project evaluations in Guyana and Sri Lanka.
He joined IFAD in 2013 where he started work in the Programme Management Department on monitoring, evaluation and performance analysis of development projects. He later worked on corporate results monitoring and strategic planning in the Strategy and Knowledge Department of IFAD.
Before joining IFAD, Mr Khaira worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in the areas of policy research and analysis, statistics and training related to agriculture and food security. Mr Khaira has been working in the development field since 2002. His work experience covers over 35 developing countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Near East and North Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr Khaira has an MSc in Agricultural Economics from University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies, a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor's in Commerce, specializing in accounting and auditing, from the University of Bombay (India).
