Programme Analyst, Latin America and the Caribbean Division

Carlos Icaza

Carlos Icaza works as Regional Analyst in the Latin America and the Caribbean division at IFAD. His main activities include supporting projects quality enhancement and coherence with corporate practices, regional portfolio analysis and monitoring.

Before joining IFAD, Icaza worked as a Policy Analyst and as External Consultant for the OECD in Paris, having coordinated and participated in several OECD territorial and rural development reviews of countries such as Chile, Colombia and Sweden. Also, he worked in the FAO Regional Office for Latin America (Chile) as a Young Professional and as a Consultant at the FAO Office in Mexico.

Icaza, has a Master in Science in Local Economic Development by the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE), PhD studies in Economic Development by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and a Bachelor Degree in Political Sciences by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
