Khabbab Abdalla is a partnership officer with the Arab and Gulf States Liaison Office (AGL). AGL has been established to strengthen the cooperation with Member States in the Arab and Gulf region, and also with their respective multilateral and bilateral financing institutions. Abdalla works in a team responsible for partnership and resource mobilization from the traditional donors of the Arab Gulf Region and their respective development funds and institutions. He plays a leading role in strengthening IFAD’s partnerships with the Arab States of the Gulf, their institutions, private companies, foundations and research centres.
Prior to joining IFAD, Abdalla worked as Resident Programme Coordinator with the Electoral Institute of Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA) and with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Governance as Project Manager and Election Analyst in Post-conflict Programmes and was an Elections Observer. He has experience working with the Arab Organization of Agricultural Development (AOAD) and with academic institution with interest and publications in agricultural value chains.
Abdalla has a MSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading and BA in Economics and Political Science from the American University of Cairo.
