Programme Officer, Latin America and the Caribbean Division

Cintia Tatiana Guzmán

Cintia Tatiana Guzmán is Programme Officer for the Latin America and the Caribbean Division. She currently supports Brazil, Chile, and Guyana’s country programmes. Her responsibilities include operational oversight and support for the development of IFAD's strategy, investment projects, grant programmes and strategic alliances. She also provides technical support on M&E, targeting, knowledge management, among others. She manages regional initiatives such as the LAC Rural Youth Innovation Award project, which implementation she currently leads, bringing together young entrepreneurs’ capacities, private partners, and development institutions' support to promote implementable and scalable solutions to the rural sector challenges.

Guzmán has over 15 years of professional experience across both the private and public sectors and international development. Before joining IFAD, she worked for the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) in Washington, supporting the design and implementation of modernization of the state projects. Previously, she worked as the Head of the Planning and Management Control Department in the Bolivian Central Bank.

Guzmán holds master’s degrees in Development Economics and International Cooperation from the University of Tor Vergata, Italy and in Business Administration (Major in Business Economics) from the INCAE Business School, Costa Rica and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of La Paz, Bolivia.
