Senior Technical Specialist, Biodiversity

Marie-Aude Even

Marie-Aude Even is a Senior Biodiversity Technical Specialist. Based in New Delhi, she contributes her expertise to the design and supervision of IFAD projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region. She also supports policy engagement, partnership efforts and knowledge management in the areas of agronomy, agricultural extension and innovation systems.

Prior to joining IFAD, Even worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. There, she supported the development of outlook reports and action plans for gender equality in agriculture for the African Union, the Economic Community of West African States, and the Economic Community of Central African States. She also documented and monitored farming systems for an international initiative supporting 10 countries to inform better-targeted policy and extension.

Earlier, Even worked as a policy analyst for the Centre for Studies and Strategic Foresight, an initiative of the French Ministry of Agriculture, on food security issues. She also managed a project in Ghana on lowland rice development for the Agence Française de Développement, strengthening institutions, innovations and value chains.

Even holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy and a master’s degree in international agricultural development economics from the grande école AgroParisTech, as well as an executive master’s degree in agricultural public policy from the institute that trains high-level civil servants for the French Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
