An introduction to grants

Grant is a key instrument to eradicate rural poverty.

Grants can be used:

i.     To support a recipient with limited or no capacity to repay debt

ii.    To ensure debt sustainability (DSF grants)

iii.   To encourage risky projects (innovative activities)

iv.   To involve the private sector/ for profit enterprises in rural development
