Knowledge Management Specialist, Platform for Agricultural Risk Management

Dorcas Mayala Ntumba

Dorcas Mayala Ntumba is the Knowledge Management, Communication and Partnership Specialist of the Platform for Agricultural Risk Management (PARM) at IFAD. She is responsible for developing and implementing effective knowledge management, communication, partnership and resource mobilization strategies of PARM at global, regional and country level. She oversees the coordination and management of knowledge sharing activities and publications, internal and external communication and visibility strategies, FARM-D Community of practice and partnerships with main stakeholders of PARM including donors, technical and financial partners, media, writers, editors, graphic designers, and other stakeholders involved in PARM’s work.

Mayala Ntumba joined IFAD in 2022 from her previous position at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as Head of Communications, Fundraising and Partnerships. Since 2010, she has been working in marketing, corporate communications, outreach, public relations, public information, fundraising and partnerships with international organisations and private companies in the DRC, South Africa and Burkina Faso. Mayala Ntumba has led strong advocacy and communication campaigns for the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the UN Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in the fields of agriculture, food security, climate, risk management, environment, gender, education, etc.

Mayala Ntumba holds a Master degree in Social Communications from the Catholic University of Congo and diplomas in project management, digital marketing and media management in humanitarian action from MediaEdge in South Africa and from the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies in Switzerland.
