Esta guía brinda orientaciones validadas para diseñar proyectos de cadenas de valor que tienen en cuenta la nutrición para los pequeños agricultores. Esta guía consta de dos volúmenes.

La iniciativa de  Cobertura de los riesgos relacionados con el clima y los productos básicos para propiciar la transformación  (CACHET) protege a los pequeños agricultores contra las fluctuaciones climáticas y de los precios que afectan negativamente sus ingresos.

Este trabajo busca comprender mejor el contexto en el que operan las pequeñas explotaciones agrícolas.

FAO, IFAD and WFP have developed joint actions in the Latin American and Caribbean region with the common goal of eradicating hunger and malnutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture and rural development.

En 2030, los jóvenes representarán alrededor del 15 % de la población mundial, y la juventud rural alrededor del 6 %. En algunas regiones se espera que se produzca un aumento sin precedentes en la población de jóvenes.

La región de Asia y el Pacífico ha logrado enormes progresos durante el pasado decenio, con una importante disminución de la pobreza. El FIDA, que en cuatro decenios de labor en la región ha financiado más de 300 proyectos, ha sido un asociado confiable en este sentido.

Canada is partnering with the United Nations Rome-based agencies (RBAs) – the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP) – to further test in the field their joint Conceptual framework for strengthening resilience for food security and nutrition. 

Investments in irrigation systems have been shown to substantially improve farmers’ productivity, and thus alleviate poverty. This study provides an example of such an investment: the Participatory Small-Scale Irrigation Development Programme. 

IFAD has been investing in the rural poor in Tajikistan since 2008, by strengthening local institutions and grass-roots organizations, and expanding their access to land, productive technologies and resources. 

IFAD has enjoyed a long history of a strong and successful partnership with the Government of Azerbaijan in rural poverty reduction and overall agricultural development efforts, with focused interventions in remote and sometimes difficult to reach areas of the country where extreme pockets of poverty exist.
