Abdelhaq Hanafi is country programme manager in the West and Central Africa division. His role includes advocacy for and enhancement of national government programmes that improve the access of poor rural people to natural resources; agricultural technologies; financial services; markets; employment opportunities and enterprise development.
Since 1980, he has held positions as Researcher, Professor at IAV Hassan II, Morocco; Invited Lecturer at University Wageningen; University Catania, Italy; University Chot Meriem, Tunisa.
Hanafi worked in 15 countries with FAO in Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia.
He holds a PhD (1992) and Masters (1986) from the University of Minnesota, USA. DEA (1982) University Jussieu, Paris. Engineer (1980) IAV Hassan II University, Morocco.
He is Elected President of the APA, Council Representative of Morocco in International Organization (ISHS and IOBC).
