Anticorruption
IFAD has a zero tolerance policy for prohibited practices.
IFAD upholds the highest standards of ethical behaviour. We are guided by deeply engrained core values and a Code of Conduct based on respect and integrity.
We strive to maintain a collegial working environment and foster an organizational culture in which individuals respect the people they work with.
The Ethics Office ensures that the highest ethical standards are promoted and maintained throughout IFAD’s work, policies and practices. The office’s primary role is to address allegations of misconduct promptly and confidentially, and to provide guidance on preventing conflicts of interest and unethical behaviour.
The office is independent of any organizational entity in order to safeguard its ability to provide objective feedback and ensure confidentiality.
The Ethics Office is responsible for:
Managing IFAD’s ethics education programme.
Training on the Code of Conduct and harassment policies.
Advising staff on actions that may violate the Code of Conduct.
Reviewing allegations of misconduct and, where warranted, referring cases for investigation to the Office of Audit and Oversight.
Assessing organizational risk for misconduct and contributing to the corporate enterprise risk framework.
Protecting IFAD’s reputation.
Managing the Financial Disclosure programme.
