Fourth Session of the IFAD13 Consultation

With four in five of the world’s poorest people living in rural areas, the road to a prosperous, resilient and food secure future runs through rural communities. And as multiple crises converge, rural people need us to invest in them more than ever before.

To address today’s challenges, IFAD is asking our Member States to increase their investments in rural people.

The fourth session of the IFAD13 replenishment, co-hosted in Paris by Angola and France, is their chance to invest in a resilient future. Here they will agree on the final replenishment priorities and targets for IFAD’s work during 2025-2027 and begin announcing their pledges to IFAD13.

The session will also feature thematic discussions on the need to finance food system transformation and the Great Green Wall, guest speakers including IFAD Goodwill Ambassador Sabrina Elba, and a closing ceremony with high-level representatives.
