Support to Agricultural Development Project

The Support to Agricultural Development Project (PADAT) will help improve smallholder food security and incomes by building on the dynamics that emerged during the 15-year suspension of international development cooperation.

Under the renewed cooperation, the project will collaborate with the Government and other donors to:

  • boost the productivity and outputs of three staple food crops (maize, rice and cassava);
  • improve the processing and marketing of outputs;
  • enhancing self-reliance among marginally commercial small farmers.
