سيتم اليوم إطلاق صندوق لمشاريع الأثر ذي نهج مبتكر لاجتذاب رؤوس الأموال التي تشتد الحاجة إليها إلى المناطق الريفية من البلدان النامية، وذلك في الاجتماع السنوي للدول الأعضاء في الصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية.

اختتم الصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية اليوم الاجتماع الثاني والأربعين لمجلس محافظيه بتسليط الضوء على الحاجة إلى المزيد من النُهج المبتكرة لتمويل التنمية – ولا سيما في المناطق الريفية من البلدان النامية حيث تعيش أغلبية أفقر سكان العالم.

بعد تقديمها كونشيرتو الكمان، دعت ميدوري، عازفة الكمان ذات الشهرة العالمية ورسولة الأمم المتحدة للسلام، قداسة البابا فرنسيس وغيره من قادة العالم الذين يحضرون الاجتماع السنوي للصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية التابع للأمم المتحدة اليوم لأن يؤمنوا بالقدرة التحويلية للنساء والفتيات في المجتمعات النائية المحرومة.

اليوم وخلال الاجتماع السنوي للدول الأعضاء في الصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية، وجهت الممثلة، والراقصة، ومصممة الرقصات الحائزة على جوائز شيري سيلفر دعوة عاجلة من أجل العمل إلى رؤساء الدول، والوزراء الحكوميين، وقادة التنمية بأن يصغوا ويستثمروا في الشباب الريفي.
