The Strengthening Agricultural Resilience through Learning and Innovation (STARLIT) project in Rwanda and Kenya used two digital tools to accomplish its goals of training smallholder farmers in good agricultural practices and of strengthening the capacity of saving and credit cooperative organizations (SACCO).

The Annual Progress Report 2022 provides an overview of the Facility portfolio and highlights. Sixteen projects cover diverse regions and themes, including value chain development, climate-smart agriculture, rural financing, crisis response, gender equality, and more.

This technical manual and the accompanying brief were compiled for the Promoting Sustainable Cage Aquaculture in West Africa (ProSCAWA) project, undertaken in Nigeria and Ghana from 2020 to 2023.

Créé en 2018, le Mécanisme de partenariat Chine-FIDA pour la coopération Sud-Sud et triangulaire est un partenariat entre le Gouvernement de la République populaire de Chine et le FIDA. Il vise à mobiliser les connaissances, l’innovation, les technologies et les ressources du Sud pour lutter contre la pauvreté et poursuivre la transformation des systèmes alimentaires. 

Le projet Starlit (pour le renforcement de la résilience agricole par l’apprentissage et l’innovation) est une initiative financée par le Mécanisme de CSST Chine-FIDA, qui vise à accroître la résilience des agriculteurs de la filière du maïs au Kenya et au Rwanda.

Ce quatrième rapport de situation met en lumière les résultats obtenus grâce au Mécanisme en 2021.

Funding through the China-IFAD SSTC Facility under the third call for proposals were designated towards projects that support the generation and exchange of innovative solutions, approaches and methodologies that can be of value in the post-COVID-19 recovery period.

The China-IFAD South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) Facility was established on 31 March 2018 with the signing of the Supplementary Funds Agreement between IFAD and the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China.

Established in February 2018 and entirely devoted to smallholder agriculture and rural development, the China-IFAD SSTC Facility is taking concrete actions to alleviate rural poverty, enhance rural productivity, advance rural transformation and promote investments among developing countries. 

The China-IFAD South-South and Triangular Cooperation Facility was established in February 2018 and is the first Facility in IFAD dedicated to SSTC.
