RESADE is improving food security, agricultural productivity and incomes of poor smallholder farmers in salinity-affected areas in seven countries. It does so by introducing salt-tolerant crops, using suitable agronomic management practices, developing value chains for new crops, building capacity, influencing national development policies, providing good quality seeds.

Dans le sud du Nigéria, le Projet d’amélioration des moyens de subsistance des entreprises familiales dans le delta du Niger (LIFE-ND) aide les jeunes et les femmes au chômage dans les zones rurales à vivre de l'agriculture en les dotant de compétences entrepreneuriales.

Sur un total de 64 projets RPSF, un échantillon de 13 initiatives sélectionnées a fait l'objet d'une évaluation rapide. Les résultats indiquent que le RPSF a aidé non moins de 2,9 millions de ménages à maintenir ou à améliorer de nombreux facteurs de développement et de bien-être, notamment en termes de production, de revenus et de sécurité alimentaire.
